BREEDER:
1. Kitten is healthy to the best of the breeder' s knowledge, has had all the age-appropriate vaccinations and wormings and is free of all internal and external parasites as confirmed by a licensed veterinarian at the time of adoption.
2. Breeder will provide a pet record from a licensed veterinarian listing all vaccinations, wormings, treatments (if any) and the dates thus far.
3. The kitten's mother and father were negative for feline leukemia as a kitten and have not been exposed to any outside or unknown cats. The kitten's mother and father are negative/negative for the two known HCM (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) genes as well as PKD and others.
4. The breeder guarantees for ONE YEAR that if a fatality occurs as a result of a genetic or congenital
Defect, the breeder will refund the purchase price minus the $325 non-refundable reservation fee or replace the kitten (less shipping charges and veterinary expenses). A histopathology/necropsy report (at buyer's expense) from a licensed, board-certified veterinarian is absolutely required.
5. Viral diseases (including Feline Infectious Peritonitis or FIP), parasites or bacterial infections are covered by this health guarantee for 10 days from the date of pickup. If these are found, breeder must be notified within 2 days of buyer receiving notification from a licensed veterinarian. Breeder will pay treatment expenses up to the purchase price of the kitten minus the $325 non-refundable reservation fee. Veterinarian report and all test results proving infection and treatment costs must be provided.
6. Breeder does not warranty the cat/kitten from any adverse reactions against future vaccinations or any other procedures/surgery performed on the cat/kitten including spay/neuter.
7. The kitten will be registered with The International Cat Association (TICA) as a nonbreeding kitten. Registration papers will be provided once proof of spay/neuter has been provided to the breeder.
ADOPTER:
Kitten should be seen by your vet at your earliest convenience to continue vaccination schedule.
1. These are strictly indoor cats. Please do not expose to unknown outdoor cats/animals. Allowing your kitten outdoors where it may be exposed to diseases, fleas, ticks, and parasites, and as such, voids the health guarantee.
2. Adopter is responsible for ALL veterinary expenses incurred after acquiring kitten, except as stated above.
3. Adopter will ensure that the kitten gets regular vet checks and wormings to maintain the health of the kitten.
4. Kittens should only be vaccinated with "killed virus" or " modified live-virus" vaccines and NOT ""LIVE VIRUS" VACCINES. Adopter agrees that the kitten will NOT BE VACCINATED with the feline leukemia vaccine or FVRCP AND a RABIES vaccine at the same time, as a potentially life-threatening reaction may occur and the health guarantee will be revoked. Having vaccinations staggered is best for kitten. Breeder recommends only the Purevax Rabies vaccination for felines.
5. Adopter agrees to have the kitten spayed/ neutered by six months of age.
6. It is your choice whether you want to have your kitten tested for feline leukemia and this is at your expense.
7. Adopter is responsible for allergies, landlord issues, housetraining, and behavior and for understanding the information in the kitten papers you are given. Breeder is available for phone calls to help transition and brainstorming to solve problems and breeder appreciates photos of past kittens they have birthed.
8. If you should no longer be able to keep your kitten, we will work with you to help you find a suitable home. No refunds will be issued if you are not able to keep your kitten. Kitten is not to be sold under any circumstances. If kitten is found to have been sold or given away, the health guarantee is void and is not transferrable.
9. Breeding of an unaltered ragdoll without breeding rights is strictly prohibited. Breeder may elect to proceed with legal action if it is discovered that the adopter is breeding a ragdoll from Amazing MN Rags. All legal proceedings will take place within County and State of Breeder' s residence: Ramsey County, MN.
10. Please feed your kitten only balanced raw or high-quality grain free wet food. Feeding dry kibble or grains of any kind puts your kitten at risk of chronic dehydration, gastrointestinal upset, bladder crystals, and other health problems. Feeding grains or dry kibble of any kind will void all health guarantees.
11. Declawing is detrimental to a cat's physical and mental health. Adopter agrees to never have kitten declawed. Additionally adopter agrees to never have the kitten de-meowed.
12. If adopter violates any of the terms of this contract breeder has the right to recover the kitten(s) and adopter will comply by returning kitten(s) to breeder with NO REFUND/REIMBURSEMENT.
